Amethyst - February birthstone

February already folks. It’s a time when I start to look forward to spring time.
The green shoots of bulbs in the garden are a sign that it’s just around the corner. 
If you are celebrating your birthday in February or looking for a jewellery gift for someone will be, then Amethyst is the birthstone for these lovely people.

Amethyst is a beautiful quartz that can range from a strong violet through various shades of purple. It can also come in a delicate green (Prasiolite.) The two colours together (purple and green) remind me of lavender fields and perfectly complement one another, as so often found together in nature. 

Represents purity of spirit – used to aid the healing of wounds.
